This space will be devoted mostly to my love of paper arts, but since everything is connected and my family is such a part of my life, they will sneak in, too.
My husband and I have three children, 18, 8, and 4.
My venture into paper arts began about 8 years ago. I had started scrapbooking and was invited to a D.O.T.S. (now CTMH) party. I thought hey I could use stamps in my scrapbooking instead of stickers, it will be cheaper. Little did I know.
I bought one stamp set to use, and the rest is history. I don’t think I have scrapbooked since that day, but I fell in love with rubberstamping, and later bookbinding, and colage.
I think there has always been an artist inside me trying to get out and this was a natural release for her.
When I entered the rubber-stamping world I saw all of these fabulous books people had embellished and I had this desire to do the same. I didn’t know anybody who bound books, so I got a few good books and taught myself. I love the process of taking cardboard and paper and ending up with a lovely unique book or journal.
Hey Becky!
I found my voice with rubber stamps as well…as soon as I made that first image, I was hooked and 15 years later I am still going strong!
Smiles!
