Last year I invited 4 strangers to stay with me for Artfest, we immediately became friends and decided to stay together again. It is the same group with the addition of one mom.
They all saw me knitting some socks last year and mentioned that I had a year to get them all socks done.
Well right now I have 3 1/2 pairs and one scarf. I still have a few days to knit and hope to have 5 done in time.

Ooh, lucky roommates!
These are beautiful. What a special treat for your roomies.
Awesome! You go girl…aren’t knitting socks fun? I love it when I can use bulky yarn, but the fine sock yarn takes forever!!!
Lucky roomies, these are wonderful!
Lucky roomies!
P.S. Could you show me how to knit socks?
;D lulu
Last year was my first at Artfest (after 5 years of being too afraid to attend!)…I also roomed with 3 unknowns who became fast friends and others , all who have become near to my heart. In all the best ways possible, my life has never been the same since.
I can see the love knit into every stitch of those socks!
Thanks everybody.
They are fun. Most of these are sport weight and go a little faster than fingering. One of them is worsted which I love for around the house.
lulu, I do plan on knitting me a sock during the time between classes and dinner so feel free to look for me in the lobby and come look and ask whatever questions you want.
I have some handspun I have saved for me to knit then.
Woo-Hoo! These are gorgeous!
Ohhh….very lucky roommates, Becky! And, when you get a minute (HA), I’d like a pair too – as colorful and outrageous as you can make them….for a price of course. Just name it.
I’ll be looking for you to see if I can’t talk you into the project. ;o)
Cheryl.
Hi Becky – - I won the sweet knitter’s journal in the Phat Fiber blog gieaway and blogged about it today.
It is lovely! Thank you so much. I think your work is beautiful. I promise to actually use it, not just think it is too precious to use!

I am so glad you love the little journal. Enjoy it.
